Michael Weitz has been a commercial producer, marketing manager, county weed inspector (yes, that’s really a thing!), and a swather driver among a number of other interesting occupations. He’s stood alone at sunset on the Great Wall of China, flown with a stunt pilot (didn’t get sick), and hiked through the Hoh rain forest in search of indigenous people’s abandoned dugouts.
A constant diet of fantasy and sci-fi books led to playing Dungeons & Dragons and he credits that game with helping ignite his passion for writing. He’s also written short stories, television commercials, and documentaries. His short story The Pumpkin Prophecy was the first piece of fiction ever published in Acreage, The Magazine for Rural Living!
Bonus: His favorite childhood book was Agent K-13 The Super Spy by Bob Teague.
Michael is the author of the Ray Gordon mysteries. The award-winning best-selling debut, Even Dead Men Play Chess, was published in 2007.
He and his wife and their way too cool dog, Watson, live in the pacific northwest where they enjoy reading, travelling, and even some amateur astronomy. Watson doesn’t care too much for star gazing though.
